I've been finding it challenging not just to play, but to put down as well!Very, very enjoyable indeed and well worth seven quid of anyone's money :) If you found the lack of stats and crappy UI in Skyrim annoying and want something a bit more 'Authentic' for an RPG, then do give this a go. The demo's huge, btw, and will keep you busy for a good afternoon.... I recommend this game, barely... mostly since it is for free now. Maybe someday I'll be back to this game, for now I have enough.Advantages:-classic looking, classic feel-nice creation screen with help-traps, secrets, interactive objects-one can use objects against enemies-low requirements and multiplatform support-FREEBIEDisadvantages:-movement (find a route is not something modern you know, this "technology" is known since many classics)-slow pace combat and object slashing (you know what I loved in M&M World of Xeen, fast pace and of course other things, in this game exchange of blows takes ages, even worse - try to open a basic barrel, slashing for hours is not something that brings fun)-only 800x600 resolution, I know this game should be classic, but adding better resolutions shouldn't be that hard.. ok graphics for retrolike game+deep mechanics-poor gameplay system for 2007 released game, pathfinding, quest bug-too slow maybeanyway, the game is free now, try it.... Epic music.If i had to say something is bad, it would be your chances to hit enemys in combat...That really is poor sometimes, i mean, really, fire 30 arrows 3 spaces away from it with the best bow in the game,,,and only 6 hit... i had a ToHit of 13... the enemys in book I are hard... Very Hard. it gets alot easyer in book 2.. Boring. Cliche RPG nonsense.. Very fun old-school style turn-based RPG. I recommend to any fans of the genre. Lots of character customization and loot.. Books 1 and 2 are really fantastic games. Book 3 was disapointing.If you want to only buy one book of the series, take book 2, it is imo. the best book of the three but book 1 is superb as well.Still, I of course recommend to buy the complete series. The whole series is great, but I warn you, you will be disappointed at the end of book 3 (or even at the beginning of it when you make some bad choices).But I really recommend this book, it's a great game!. In all reality its not that good .. graphics are poor and the game play is meh. Love this game! You can jump in and out of it quickly as you have time. It logs quests and auto- maps once you have the skill. It rewards reading the NPC text by giving you new quests or not... If you just click through NPC stuff you will miss out. You can game the game. You can optimise every actions or just roleplay it. I played it and then replayed it to exploite my knowledge of the game engine. There are tons of tricks and stratagy. Love it!!!
